Description

This award will recognize one staff member committed to the MSU land-grant mission of outreach and engagement.  The award selections shall recognize especially significant outreach achievements. The outreach could include collaborations with external constituents or an established body of outreach and engagement-related scholarship work. Nominations should recognize efforts that go above and beyond the scope of the nominee’s position at MSU. 

Eligibility

A nominee must be a permanent, professional or classified staff member with a 0.5 - 1.0 FTE, with MSU, Montana Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) or Extension Service (ES).

Individuals who are nominated for this award will be contacted by the review committee for additional information.

Selection Criteria

  • Significant outreach/engagement achievements
  • An established body of outreach/engagement-related work
  • Working collaboratively with an organization, colleague, or entity outside the academic community to address a challenge or opportunity.
  • Exemplary efforts that transcend the standard exptation of the nominee's role
