Biography:
I am a paleontology M.S. student in the Earth Sciences Department of Montana State University (MSU), Bozeman. I graduated magna cum laude from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN with a double BA in biology and geology. I’ve had both paleo and non-paleo field work experiences in MN and the Klamath Mountains of CA, and interned at the Science Museum of Minnesota in the osteology collections and paleontology preparator lab through the Macalester Summer Internship Grant. Besides working as a graduate teaching assistant at MSU, I worked as a lab assistant in anatomy and intro geology labs at Macalester College as well as a teacher’s assistant in multiple geology classes.
Research:
As an undergraduate, I completed an honor thesis under the supervision of Dr. Ray Rogers and Dr. Kristi Curry Rogers on the comparative taphonomy of the Bug Creek Anthills (a mixed K-Pg microfossil bonebed) which I present at SVP 2023. My research interests now are more paleobiology-focused; my current project is under the supervision of Dr. John Scannella, describing a new ceratopsid skull from the Judith River Formation (Campanian) of Montana as well as the specimen’s implications for late Cretaceous ceratopsid diversity, evolution and paleobiogeography.
